The newest DeepSea Sea-Dweller ref. 126660 came to market in 2018. It features a new case and bracelet design as well as a Rolex calibre 3235 movement. The latest generation in Rolex movements. the calibre 3235 hosts an impressive list of upgrades including accuracy of -2/+2 seconds per day. a 70-hour power reserve. and a Chronergy escapement. The new bracelet features a wider stance on the wrist. thanks to the addition of a new clasp. To better accommodate the new width of the bracelet. the case has been outfitted with fatter lugs. The James Cameron Rolex Deep Sea boasts the most resistance of any diver in the Rolex catalog; an impressive 12.800 feet. a feat that is accomplished thanks in large part to the addition of a Helium Escape Valve (HEV).
