It's pretty obvious at first glance that the Datejust II reference 116334 is unlike any of the classic 36mm Datejust watches that preceded it. The most obvious difference is the presence of a larger 41mm Oyster case as well as broader lugs and an overall larger fit on the wrist. This recent addition to the Rolex catalog. however. pays homage to the classic from the 1940's by including a fluted bezel. perpetual movement. waterproof case. and an automatically changing date window at the 3 position. The bezel is crafted from Rolex gold and adds a sophisticated touch to an otherwise very contemporary timepiece. A Rolex calibre 3136 perpetual movement offers a highly reliable reading and sits within the waterproof 41mm Oyster case. COSC certified and beating at a rate of 28.800 beats per hour; the calibre 3136 movement is one of the most precise movements on the market today.
