The Rolex GMT Master II reference 16760 is one of the most highly collectible references in the GMT Master line up. Produced from 1983-1988. the reference 16760 was the first GMT Master II. Its case is notoriously larger in size to accommodate the addition of an independent 24-hour hand. a feature that was new to the GMT Master II line. Because of its larger size. the GMT Master II reference 16760 was lovingly nicknamed the "Sophia Loren" or "Fat Lady". The newly added independent 24-hour hand increases the functionality of the GMT Master II. allowing the wearer to track up to three different time zones at once without disturbing the other hands. The 24-hour hand is paired with a rotating black and red "Coke" bezel with 60-minute graduations and serrated edges - a perfect match to the black dial topped with Tritium hour markers and sweeping "Mercedes" hands.
