The GMT Master II comes from Rolex's iconic line of pilot's watches. As the world of commercial flight began to boom. so did the need for a timepiece that could keep perfect time during long travels around the globe. That need lead to the debut of the Rolex GMT Master. The reference 16710 that is listed here boasts an Oyster case that is waterproof as well as resistant to higher altitudes. A 24-hour black bezel surrounds the case and can be adjusted to coordinate with the GMT hand on the dial to sync with military time. Since this reference is a member of the GMT Master II line. it also boasts an independent 24-hour hand that can be adjusted to track a third time zone.
