Rolex Air-King 126900 Black Arabic Dial

For decades. the Air-King featured a traditional Rolex dress watch aesthetic. However. in 2016. ref. 116900 hit the market. featuring a polarizing dial modeled after the dashboard instruments developed by Rolex for the Bloodhound SSC. With the 2016 release. the collection took on a sportier design more akin to Rolex's professional series. Rolex upgraded the Air-King once again in 2022 via ref. 126900. It looks similar to the ref. 116900. but with a newer movement. a new case. and a few upgrades to the dial. The case is now equipped with crown guards and features the caliber 3230 Perpetual movement with a longer 70-hour power reserve. Rolex added a zero to the 5-hour marker. reading "05" instead of "5." and the 3/6/9 hour markers are now fully-lumed. replacing the silvered hour markers on ref. 116900.
