The Rolex "Triple Six" Sea-Dweller ref. 16660 was produced for a little over a decade between 1978 and 1989. It replaced the vintage ref. 1665. bringing with it a sapphire crystal. increased water resistance. and a higher-beat movement. Depending on the reference. it will also have either painted indices or modern white gold-trimmed indices. The example you see here is the latter. With the release of ref. 16660. the bezel was upgraded to a uni-directional mounting. and the Helium Escape Valve is larger. This Rolex is an integral part of Sea-Dweller history. You won't regret adding it to your watch box.
