The Sea-Dweller is an extension of the iconic Submariner diver's watch. Both feature a similar design set with a waterproof case. uni-directional time-lapse bezel. and self-winding movement. What sets the Sea-Dweller apart from the Submariner is the Helium Escape Valve built into the case. This feature allows the gasses that accumulate within the case during deep saturation dives to escape without dislodging the crystal over the dial. thus maintaining the integrity of the case up to 4.000 feet. Ref. 16600 is a prized collector's item among those in the know because it also features a Cyclops-free crystal. white gold-trimmed luminous hour markers. and an aluminum bezel top ring.
